Health Medical Supplies

The older you get the more health problems you have(generally). Not all seniors are computer savvy, but we're getting there. More and more seniors are on the web every day, including the enormous baby-boomer population about to hit retirement. So educating yourself about the latest health and medical supply information is even more critical the older you get. We will provide you with information and reviews about the latest medical supply trends and technologies as well as show you where you can get them at no cost to you. There are many different medical supplies that you don’t have to pay anything out of pocket for.

For example, if you have diabetes or any chronic pain, you may be eligible to get a cold/hot water compression therapy system at no cost to you. The hot/cold water therapy system is a clinical therapeutic pain management and circulatory improvement system hat can be used in the home. The hot-water compression improves blood circulation, improves cell function (metabolism), decreases any stiffness in tendons and ligaments, relaxes the muscles, decreases muscle spasms as well as decreases pain. The cold-water compression therapy promotes healthy healing, prevents discomfort in muscles and joints, and reduces swelling and pain. Medicare covers the entire cost of the hot/cold water compression system. You may be able to receive a system at no cost to you with a doctor’s prescription.

You should always be thinking about your diet.  If your good to your body your body will be good to you.  Try to eat foods high in fiber and low in fat.  Adding in a walk every other day can really help out.  I've met thousands of seniors and the healthier ones are the ones that take a walk ever now and then.  The really heathy seniors I've met do yoga.  Yoga is fantastic for heart health breathing and balance.  I would not recommend starting an new exercise regiments without first consulting your doctor.

When diet and exercise aren't an option medication and surgery may be the answer.  Always talk to your doctor to find out what options are best for you.  Sometimes for chronic pain cortisone injections may help relieve pain temporarily, however, frequent injections into the same joint can cause further damage and may cause unwanted side effects.

If you are a caregiver or a senior this is the spot for you. We’ll show you ways to make your home safer, diet and exercise ideas to help reduce health problems or risks, as well as post real people’s experiences that have to do with care giving or health. We want to make positive impacts on people’s lives and hopefully help out those looking for it. People can sometimes find relief in finding out that they are not alone during tough times.
